Poul Henningsen PH 3.5/3 Pendant Lamp, Patented, Denmark, 1930s
An original PH 3.5/3 pendant lamp designed by Poul Henningsen, Denmark, circa 1930s, produced under Henningsen’s original patented three-shade system.
This early pendant features an original painted metal top shade in green, a rare and highly desirable pre-war finish. The lamp retains its browned brass suspension and fittings, showing authentic patina consistent with age and use. The middle and lower shades are executed in two-layer opal glass, ensuring soft, glare-free illumination in accordance with Henningsen’s lighting philosophy.
PH pendants from the 1930s with original painted metal top shades and opal glass elements are increasingly scarce and represent important examples of early Danish functionalist lighting design.
