Poul Henningsen PH 2/2 Wall Lamp in Amber Glass and Patinated Brass, Denmark, 1930s
An original PH 2/2 wall lamp designed by Poul Henningsen, Denmark, circa 1930s.
This rare early example features amber (rav) glass shades, combined with a patinated brass wall mount and an original brown Bakelite socket, all characteristic of early PH production. The iconic three-shade system provides a warm, glare-free light, exemplifying Henningsen’s pioneering approach to functional and atmospheric illumination.
Designed during the formative years of Poul Henningsen’s collaboration with Louis Poulsen, lamps from this period are increasingly rare and highly sought after, particularly examples retaining original materials such as Bakelite components and richly toned glass.
